"Consolation"

"Consolation" was very challenging to create. An image of a river with trees and waterfalls was processed many times until a pattern was created. Then this patterned image was Lucis-interplayed with the grayscale image of a boy being held by his mother. If you look at the mother's upper arm you can faintly see a rainbow.

A grayscale version of this image is used on the cover of the book, "The Erotics of Consolation - Desire and Distance in the Late Middle Ages" by Catherine E. Leglu and Stephen J. Milner.
